Instructor Proposals – #ILEETA2027 Conference & Expo
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the ILEETA Conference & Expo.
We are currently preparing for #ILEETA2027, and we welcome proposals from trainers across all disciplines who are committed to advancing law enforcement training.
Proposal Timeline
Submission Window Opens: June 1, 2026
Submission Deadline: October 31, 2026
Conference Dates: 22-27 March 2027 (St. Louis, MO)
What We’re Looking For
The ILEETA Conference is an instructor-focused event, meaning all selected courses must be designed to develop other trainers.
Strong proposals clearly answer this question:
What will instructors take back to their agency and apply immediately?
We welcome a wide range of topics, but the most successful proposals:
Are practical, applicable, and experience-driven
Focus on improving instruction, training systems, or trainer capability
Provide clear takeaways, tools, or frameworks
Avoid product promotion or “infomercial-style” content
ILEETA is built on the idea of train the trainer, not end-user instruction.
Basic Requirements
- ILEETA Membership is required to submit a proposal
- Proposals must be submitted by the primary instructor
- Character limits (strictly enforced):
- Title: 65 characters
- Description: 600 characters
- Bio: 500 characters
- Submissions must follow formatting instructions carefully
(a significant number of proposals are rejected for not following directions)
Course Formats
- 1:45-hour sessions (most common, presented twice)
- 3:45-hour sessions (presented once)
- Full-day courses (7:45 hours)
Reserved primarily for certification or highly specialized training
Selection Considerations
Proposals are evaluated based on:
- Relevance to instructor development
- Clarity and quality of learning outcomes
- Practical value to attendees
- Demand and audience size (generally 15–20+ participants)
- Logistical feasibility
Before You Submit
We encourage you to:
- Focus on what you do exceptionally well
- Share real lessons learned, not just theory
- Be clear, concise, and intentional in your writing
- Ensure your course fits within the selected time block
How to Submit
The proposal portal will open on June 1st.
When available, you will be able to submit your proposal through the ILEETA website using your member login.
