Instructor Proposal Guidelines

 

Thank you for your interest in providing instruction at the 2025 ILEETA Conference. Below are the instructions for submitting your course proposal.

 

Important Dates and Information

 

• Conference Dates: March 24-29, 2025
• Location: Union Station Hotel, St. Louis, MO
• Proposal Deadline: October 31, 2024
• Notification of Selection: November 15, 2024

 

Course Requirements

 

• All proposals must be instructor-oriented and provide practical knowledge and skills applicable to attendees’ work. No infomercials are allowed.
• Course lengths:
  • 7:45 hours: Rare and only for certification courses
  • 3:45 hours: Presented once
  • 1:45 hours: Presented twice

 

Instructor Benefits

 

• Selected instructors will receive free conference tuition.
• No additional compensation is provided.
• Multiple proposals can be submitted, but generally, only one presentation per member is accepted.

 

Instructions for Completing the Proposal Application

 

• Membership Requirement

 

1. • You must be an active ILEETA member to submit a proposal.
   • The application must be completed by the primary instructor.
   • Only a single bio for the primary instructor will be accepted.

 

• Login Information

 

1. • Use your ILEETA username (preferred email) and password to log in.
   • Your contact information will be auto-filled, so ensure your membership is current.
   • If you forgot your password, click “forgot password” to receive a new one via email.
   • Do not use another person’s username and password.

 

• Proposal Submission

 

1. • Scroll down on the last page of the application and click “confirm.”
   • You will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission. If you do not receive this email, we did not receive your proposal.

 

• Proposal Guidelines

 

1. • Course Title: Maximum 65 characters (including spaces).
   • Course Description: Maximum 600 characters (including spaces).
   • Instructor Bio: Maximum 500 characters (including spaces).
   • Use software like MS-Word to count characters and spaces. The form will not limit characters but exceeding the limit will result in rejection.
   • Write text answers as a single paragraph without using ALL CAPS, lists, or bullet points.
   • Write the bio in the third person and perform a spell check.

 

• Character Limit Compliance

 

1. • Several fields have character limits (including spaces). Ensure compliance:
     • Course Title: 65 characters
     • Course Description: 600 characters
     • Instructor Bio: 500 characters

 

• Editing and Corrections

 

1. • If you make an error, you can restart the application and advise us to cancel the original.
   • Minor changes can be submitted via email to info@ileeta.org.

 

• Availability

 

1. • Ensure you are available during the conference week. It is unfair to other members if you cannot attend after your proposal is selected.

 

• Safety Rules Agreement

 

1. • By submitting a proposal, you agree to abide by the ILEETA Safety Rules during your instruction at the 2025 ILEETA Conference.
